The contributors discuss how to diversify ballet technique classes and dance history courses in higher education, choreographing dance about socially charged contemporary issues, and incorporating Native American dances into the curriculum, among other topics.
Dance/USA
Dance/USA analyzed five years of public data from IRS 990 forms submitted by dance organizatons from FY 2018 to FY 2022 to gauge the pandemic’s financial repercussions. This study focused on a sample of 708 nonprofit dance organizations from 2018-2022 to examine the impact on the nonprofit dance community before the pandemic, at the height of the pandemic, and in the wake of the pandemic.
