Kristine Bendul is a director, choreographer, award-winning short film creator, performer, writer, and educator whose work bridges ballet, Broadway, ballroom, and beyond. She began as a classically trained ballerina and made history as the first Asian-American female ballerina with the New Jersey Ballet Company before transitioning to Broadway. Her Broadway credits include Movin’ Out (Helen Hayes nominee) and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (asst. choreographer and partnering consultant).
Kristine worked on the world premieres of two new Asian musicals, Tiananmen and The Tale of the Gifted Prince. She wrote and directed The Color Iz, an immersive work at the Stonewall Inn, and is the author-illustrator of a children’s book. Her choreography has been seen from the US to Indonesia.
