About us

Padma Bhuana is a Balinese dance and gamelan community ensemble based at the Indonesian Consulate of New York. Our members hail from near and far within the New York Tri-State area, and we are connected by our love and respect for Balinese arts! We are lucky to be led by Balinese master artists for both of our dance and music disciplines, Ida Ayu Ari Candrawati and I Nyoman Saptanyana.

Programming / Repertoire / Offerings

Performances, workshops, and classes for both music and dance.

Our repertoire spans the rich history of Balinese dance, from traditional welcome dances to character-based pieces and longer works such as the classic Legong Lasem.
