For more than 25 years, my journey as a Kathak dancer, teacher, and performer has been dedicated to preserving and evolving this ancient art form. Rooted in the “Guru-Shishya Parampara” (mentor-protégé tradition), I strive to uphold Kathak’s purity while embracing its adaptability to modern contexts. My practice is deeply influenced by storytelling, rhythm, and the philosophical essence of movement, using dance as a bridge between tradition and contemporary expression.

As the founder & artistic director at Pallavi Kathak Gurukul, I am committed to nurturing the next generation of artists, especially those navigating cultural identity in a globalized world. I have led students across cultural and age demographics through rigorous training rooted in the traditional guru-shishya parampara. My work transcends the studio and stage—deeply engaging with the role of classical arts in addressing contemporary socio-economic issues. My commitment to excellence in performance and education has led me to present large-scale ensemble works at iconic venues such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, with more than 25 of my students participating in these prestigious showcases.
