Interim Dance is committed to fostering a supportive community where artists can refine their skills, connect with peers, and explore new creative possibilities—ensuring that financial constraints are never a barrier to their passion for dance.

For over 17 years, the New Sanctuary Coalition (NSC) has been led by and for immigrants to stop the inhumane system of deportations and detentions in this country. Our small and scrappy team works with an army of over 500 volunteers to provide person-to-person support to many hundreds of immigrants — the people we call “Friends,” not clients — facing detention and deportation.

JoycePass is a program offering dance community members access to $10 tickets to The Joyce’s 2024-2025 season. This program is specifically designed to serve the dance community, and to support the synergy that occurs when dance artists and professionals encounter each other.

These 6-week Wellness Support Groups led by trained mental health providers or registered clinicians, are designed to help undocumented people feel less alone and more understood. The goal is to create a confidential space where 10-12 participants can feel grounded, find community, and share their unique experiences, challenges, and successes with one another.

CAAD is an egalitarian community of scholars and artists committed to exploring, promoting, and engaging African diaspora dance as a resource and method of aesthetic identity. Through conferences, roundtables, publications and public events, we facilitate interdisciplinary inquiry that captures the variety of topics, approaches, and methods that might constitute Black Dance Studies.
